Terms of service
What exactly you are buying, who sells it and what happens after payment.
This is a description of the terms, not the contract itself. The public offer is being prepared by a lawyer; until it is published, the terms of each transaction are shown in the dashboard before you confirm, and disputes go through support.
What is sold
Two services: opening a Visa or Mastercard virtual card, and topping up a card you already have. Prices for both come from the catalogue and are shown before you confirm — the fees page and the dashboard show the same figures.
The card is virtual: there is no physical carrier, the details appear in the dashboard. Card validity is stated on the card itself and on the fees page.
Who sells it
The service operator is Marix LLC, Kyrgyz Republic. Ruble payments inside Russia are accepted by the payment agent OOO SOFIX. Cards are issued by the group company in Hong Kong through a partner bank. Registration details for all three are on the disclosures page.
How payment works
- The amount, the fee and the total are shown before you confirm. If you pay in rubles for a dollar-denominated service, the rate is shown in the same place.
- You can pay from your service balance or as a separate payment. The service balance and the card balance are different things: the first sits in the dashboard, the second on the card.
- Once payment succeeds the service is delivered immediately: the card is issued, the top-up is credited. If that did not happen, support is the first step.
Servicing fees and special operations
Besides the price of opening and topping up a card, it carries separate fees — these are not charges for purchases, they cover the cost of running the card itself with the card network and the bank. Each one is deducted automatically from the card balance the moment it happens.
- Monthly card maintenance — €3 every month.
- A declined transaction: €1 if the reason is insufficient funds on the card, €2 if the issuing bank declined it.
- A reversal initiated by the card network without the holder’s consent (reversed) — €1 or $1, in the card’s currency.
- A refund issued by the merchant (refund) — €5 or $5, in the card’s currency.
- A transaction blocked on our side by the anti-fraud system — €1.
- A transaction at a merchant on the disallowed list (unauthorized merchant) — €10.
- If the card does not have enough funds to cover any of these fees — including the monthly maintenance fee — the card is blocked with no way to restore it, and any funds already on the card are not refunded.
Allowed merchants
The card is set up to pay specific services — the list below. A charge to a merchant not on this list is exactly the case the €10 fee from the previous section covers.
Currency and country restrictions
The card does not process transactions in Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH). The same goes for any service directly or indirectly connected to Ukraine — they are not on the allowed-merchants list above and cannot be added to it.
An attempted transaction like this is not a case for the fee in the previous section — it is grounds for immediately blocking the card with no way to restore it. The reason for the block is not disclosed in this case, and any funds remaining on the card at the time it is blocked are not paid out.
Identity verification
A card requires identity verification first: a passport photo and a selfie. This is a requirement of the payment chain rather than our preference, and it cannot be skipped. Without it no card is issued.
Refunds and complaints
Complaints go through support on Telegram. State that it is a complaint, describe the transaction and what you want done. The reply comes in the same chat.
The decision on a particular payment at a merchant is not ours: it is made by the merchant’s anti-fraud system and the card network. A payment declined by a merchant is not a failure on our side, but support will help you work out why.
Questions about the terms
Anything about a specific transaction is faster to resolve in support: they can see what actually happened to the payment.
